Dewatering of solvent mixtures - Comparison between conventional technologies and a new one
In many branches of industry solvent mixtures accumulate which are difficult to recycle due to their water content. It is required that the water contained in the mixtures is reduced to such an extent that the mixtures can be separated into their components. In this paper, conventional dt watering technologies, such as adsorption and/or the use of entrainers, have been compared with new methods, like the reactive conversion of water with special agents. It was found that the reactive conversion is an effective alternative to conventional processes.
