We have studied the electrochemical properties of several tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) derivatives suitable to form Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films. Cyclic voltammetry experiments in organic solution have been carried out in order to obtain information about the influence of several factors, such as the length and number of alkyl chains in the TTF derivatives, the presence of hydrophilic groups, and the position of the electroactive moiety in the molecule.
