Synthesis and characterization of the diruthenium(III) complexes Ru-2(F(4)Oap)(2)(F(5)ap)(2) and Ru-2(F(4)Oap)(F(4)NCNap)(F(5)ap)(2) where F(4)Oap is the 2-(3,4,5,6-tetrafluoro-2-oxoanilino)pyridinate anion, F(4)NCNap is the 2-(3,4,5,6-tetrafluoro-2-cyanamidoanilino)pyridinate anion, and F(5)ap is the 2-(2,3,4,5,6-pentafluoroanilino)pyridinate anion
Two diruthenium(III) complexes with mixed anionic bridging ligands are synthesized and characterized as to their structural, electrochemical, and spectroscopic properties. Both compounds undergo not only metal-centered but also ligand-centered electrode reactions and this is accounted for by their quinone-type structures.
