Adaptive stabilization of non-linear oscillators using direct adaptive control
Direct adaptive controllers developed for linear systems are applied to non-linear oscillators. A wide range of nonlinearities are considered, including stiffness non-linearities, input non-linearities, limit cycle oscillations and friction. Numerical results suggest that by increasing the speed of adaptation, these direct adaptive cont rollers are highly effective when applied to non-linear plants.
