Denver Unit infill drilling an pattern reconfiguration
The Denver Unit CO2 flood began in 1984, then was expanded in 1989 and again in 1991. By 1994, the flood had a well-established production decline. The mature flood was revived with infill drilling and pattern conversion. The redevelopment program depended heavily on reservoir simulation and a multidisciplinary team concept to ensure technical and economical success. At its peak rate, the program added approximately 6,600 BOPD to production and approximately 14.2 million bbl of ultimate oil recovery.
