Ultrasound waves penetrate solid objects without damaging them. Their fields of application range from the imaging of internal organs in medicine, to interior testing of mechanical and chemical engineering components. However, ultrasonic systems can also be used to visualise the way the mechanical properties of reactive resins change during processing in the mould.
