Growth and investigation of lithium-substituted perovskite-type ionic conductor
A perovskite-type Li0.255La0.582TiO3 single crystal was grown by the floating zone method. It's electrical conductivity has been studied over a wide temperature range. The lithium ionic conductivity is 6 x 10(-4) S/cm at room temperature. At high temperatures, conductivity can be modeled by the Vogel-Tamman-Fulcher equation. This unusual behavior would suggest a mechanism of conduction involving the tilting of the TiO6 octahedra.
