Tracer diffusion studies of ion-conducting chalcogenide glasses
Tracer diffusion measurements allow independent and complementary information on long-range ion transport in glasses to be obtained. These experiments are rather rare for ion-conducting chalcogenide glasses although the existing diffusion data exhibit a lot of interesting examples of the combined (conductivity sigma and diffusion D) studies and even the phenomena which could not be observed by using the electrical measurements alone. Some selected topics of the tracer diffusion experiments in chalcogenide glasses are given and discussed in the present paper.
