Enantioselective Synthesis of Several 1-O-Beta-D-Glucoconjugates Using Almond Beta-Glucosidase (EC-3.2.1.21)
The almond beta-glucosidase catalysed syntheses of 4-butanoic acid-N-butylamide-1-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (1), 3-butanoic acid ethyl ester-1-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (2) and 2-(trimethylsilyl)-ethyl-1-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (3) were done by reversed hydrolysis and by transgucosylation. The transglucosylation was much faster and resulted in higher relative yields (9.6 to 44.9%) than the reversed hydrolysis (relative yields of 1.2 to 19.1%).
