Reducing the emissions of lignite power stations
The annual quantity of Lignite produced from the Rhine Field is around 100 million tonnes. Of this, around 85 per cent is used in five major power stations with an installed gross electrical capacity of around 9 300 MW. Using various procedures, not only the emissions can be reduced, but also the efficiency of the installations can be improved.
