Hitherto, the electrical output of turbo generators has generally been controlled by means of power output controllers. Load changes caused, for example, by changeovers to isolated unit operation where the toad requirements are unknown at first, often resulted in ,,wrong way control" effects that sometimes even caused entire turbine generator sets to fail. Controlling the internal turbine power makes it possible to avoid such consequences.
