Influence of electron beam irradiation on fluorocarbon rubber vulcanizates
The influence of electron beam irradiation on the fluorocarbon rubber vulcanizates at varying levels of the curative-hexamethylene diamine carbamate is reported. A higher crosslinking density, reduced elongation at break, increased modulus (both static and dynamic), decreased loss tangent value at T-g and increased glass transition temperature have been observed for the irradiated rubbers, as compared to the control rubber. The results are explained with the help of structure.
