Analysis of beta-CH2 signals in the C-13 NMR spectra of the methyl methacrylate-ethyl acrylate copolymer as a tool for microstructure determination
The incremental method of the chemical shift calculation in the C-13 NMR spectra of the methyl methacrylate-ethyl acrylate copolymer, PMMA/EA, has been applied to the beta-CH2 carbons. A positive simulation of the DEFT sub-spectrum shows that it is possible to determine in this way the distribution of configurational-compositional tetrads providing a tool for microstructure analysis of acrylic copolymers.
