Heat exchanger systems in gas turbine operations .3. Environmental aspects
Combined gas and steam turbine processes produce electric energy at high efficiencies. The use of combined heat and power causes problems in so far the demand of heat and power varies. Consequently, systems are needed that enable with gas turbine plants the production of more electricity or more heat, respectively, according to demand by retaining the high fuel utilization factor: the heat displacement systems. In this paper, the environmental aspects of the heat displacement systems as well as the emission problems of the gas turbine in variable recuperative cycle processes are dealt with. It is shown that - due to the suggested solution on - not only the highest possible efficiencies are achieved, but treated with consideration.
