The objective of this paper is to show how well logs can assist in the study of diagenesis. Observations were made on three case studies using different methods and means. Various kinds of diagenetic effects were highlighted : cementation and mineralogical metamorphosis, but also reduced porosity, textural changes and in extreme cases, effects on permeability
