Summarised data on the Middle and Upper Carboniferous miospores from the south-western Precaspian Depression (North Caspian Syncline) are presented. Eleven zones, mainly acme zones, are described and illustrated. The ranges of the most important taxa are demonstrated. Miospore based correlations between the Precaspian Depression zonation, the East European Platform and Donbas on one hand and western Europe on the other hand are proposed.
