A note on the drag coefficient of a single gas bubble in a power-law fluid
The motion of a single gas bubble is examined in the case of creeping flow where the exterior phase obeys the power-law model. An expression is developed for the drag coefficient using a perturbation method up to the second order in the parameter alpha = (n-1)/2. The relation obtained is compared with existing correlations and experimental data.
