Sr2CuGaO3S, a rare example of square pyramidal gallium
A new gallium oxysulfide, Sr2CuGaO3S, has been prepared. It crystallizes in a novel layered structure of anti-PbO type Cu2S2 sheets alternating with gallium perovskite oxide layers. This is the first example of Ga in a square pyramidal coordination geometry in an extended structure.
