A new concept of the perfect observer for singular two-dimensional (2-D) Fornasini-Marchesini model is proposed. Sufficient conditions are established for the existence of the perfect observer for singular 2-D Fornasini-Marchesini model. A procedure for design of the perfect observers is also derived and illustrated by a numerical example.
