Simultaneous measurement of pressure, liquid and vapour density along the vapour-liquid equilibrium curve of binary mixtures of R32 and R125 of different composition
For the vapour-liquid phase equilibrium of the binary gas mixtures of difluoromethane (R32) and pentafluoroethane (R125) with different composition, the pressure, and the liquid and vapour densities are simultaneously measured using Archimedes' principle. The experimental temperature ranges from 290 to about 340 K. The investigations are carried out with mass fractions of R32 of 25, 50 and 75%. The different fractions in the two phases are determined with a gas chromatograph which has been calibrated with known mixtures of both components. The results of the measurements presented here are compared with the results of other authors using the REFPROP computer program as a tool to compare the results of measurements of mixtures of different composition.
