Optimization of the ejector flashing regeneration in Benfield carbon dioxide removal system
Based on pinch analysis, the regeneration process in the carbon dioxide removing system of a fertilizer plant is suitable to use thermal vapor recompression heat pump. To obtain economically optimal conditions, calculation and analysis have been done for the energy saving cost and economical benefit of each design with varying temperature drop of the potassium carbonate solutions. Moreover, the feasible energy saying design and the type of the equipment are chosen according to the practical situation of the plant.
