An extension to existing conventional urethane technology, silylated urethane polymers allow formulators to produce fast-cure construction joint sealants that are free of residual NCO and exhibit superior physical properties. This article describes how the silane-endcapped polymer is prepared and evaluates the performance properties it imparts to model one-part silylated urethane sealant formulations.
