Determination of ASOG parameters for selecting azeotropic mixtures containing hydrofluoroethers
Azeotropic mixtures composed of hydrofluoroethers (HFEs) and solvents are expected to be candidates for alternative cleaning solvents in the future. For determining appropriate azeotropic mixtures containing HFEs, ASOG group pair parameters relating to CF2, CHF2, CHF, CH2, O (HFE), OH, CO, COO, and O(ether) groups were determined from literature binary vapor-liquid equilibrium data at 101.3 kPa. Average deviations between predicted and literature values were 0.023 in mole fraction vapor phase for 37 binary systems containing 25 azeotropic mixtures constituted by the HFEs, alcohols, ketones, esters and ethers.
