Experimental study on the transport properties of fluorinated ethers
Liquid thermal conductivities of HFE-245mc (pentafluoroethyl methyl ether) are presented over the temperature range from 275 to 323 K and at pressures up to 10 MPa. The excess thermal conductivities have been determined according to the residual concept for transport properties to express the thermal conductivity in a wide temperature and pressure range. Liquid viscosities of HFE-245mc are also presented at temperatures from 298 to 348 K and pressures up to 20 MPa. The saturated liquid thermal conductivities and viscosities of HFE-245mc have been determined by the use of simple correlation equations and compared to those of CFC-114.
