Regulation of the rheological properties of paraffin-base crudes with a high-frequency electromagnetic field
The rheological properties of high paraffin-base Vietnam crude oil from the Drakon field were investigated at temperatures of 20-80degreesC and different shear rates. In the low-temperature region, the crude is a structured system and acquires the properties of a Newtonian fluid with an increase in the temperature. The temperature curve of its viscosity in coordinates of the Frenkel equation has a break, which indicates a change in the mechanism of flow of the crude in the investigated temperature range. Treatment of crude oil with a high-frequency electromagnetic field significantly decreases its viscosity.
