In the mid-1980s, plants for production of two-or three-layer steel stock weighing up to 15 tons with the slanted electroslag facing method (ESF) method and technology for rolling this stock into sheets 2.5 mm thick on a "2000" mill were created at Severstal' OJSC. The rolled stock was primarily used in agricultural machine building.
