Vapour pressures, molar enthalpies of sublimation and molar enthalpies of solution in water of five halogenated derivatives of uracil
Uracil, 5-fluorouracil, 5-chlorouracil, 5-bromouracil and 6-chlorouracil (6-chloro-2,6-dihydroxypyrimidine), 5-iodouracil, with molar masses of 0. 1121 kg . mol(-1), 0.1301 kg . mol(-1), 0.1465 kg . mol(-1), 0.1910 kg . mol(-1), 0.1465 kg . mol(-1), 0.2380 kg . mol(-1) respectively, were purified by repeated crystallization. The mass fraction purity of each substance was greater than 0.99, as determined by a Du Pont 910 differential scanning calorimeter with a 1090 thermal analyzer.
