The Intl. Assn. of Oil and Gas Producers (OGP) has reported safety performance for the upstream oil and gas industry since 1984. A significant reduction in the fatal accident rate (FAR) and an improvement in the lost-time injury frequency (LTIF) have occurred since the first report.
