Investigation of cobalt oxides as anode materials for Li-ion batteries
Cobalt oxides are investigated as anode materials for lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries by means of a variety of electrochemical characterization techniques. The COO electrode demonstrates a stable reversible lithium storage capacity of about 300 mAh g(-1), even after 30 cycles. The reactivity of the cobalt oxides is attributed to the fact that the products of lithiation are in the form of nanosized products.
