Heat and mass transfer correlation for a porous sphere saturated with liquid evaporated in natural convection flow
Heat and mass transfer are studied around a porous sphere saturated with one and two pure liquid components evaporated in natural convection flow. A finite difference method is used for solving a mixture of several pure liquids, and a mixture of two hydrocarbons. We intend proposing simplified expressions for the average Nusselt and Sherwood numbers. The correlations obtained can be applied to the spherical shaped model whose average Grashof number is lower than 7.7 x 10(4).
