In the last years much work has been carried out in the areas of crystallization and precipitation in order to predict the crystal size distribution. In the well-established population balance many kinetic coefficients appear which are sometimes difficult to determine. The objective of this paper is to present equations for these coefficients based on physical models and valid for systems in wide ranges of solubilities and supersaturations.
