Hydrofluoric acid recovery integrated membrane technology from glass production concentrated washing waters
The results of the development of the integrated membrane technology and the unit based on it for hydrofluoric acid recovery from armored glass production concentrated washing waters, containing besides fluoride-ions, some impurities of hydrosilicofluoric acid, have been considered. Such effluents are produced at the stage of glass production after pickling baths as a result of ablation of the spent pickling solution by elements glass surface to the washing baths. The integrated scheme elements selection has been proved; the production processing working conditions have been developed. Special attention is given to the combination effect of the ion-exchange filtration of the contaminated washing waters, optimum selected ion-exchange resins recovery mode with alkali agent, with electro-membrane method of production from the formed eluate of the hydrofluoric acid and ammonia solution. Reverse osmosis applications for secondary washing waters desalination is shown to provide closed water loop and high retention rate of fluoride and silicon ions. Different factors influence on all technological cycle stages of hydrofluoric acid recovery has been considered. Economic feasibility data of the plant with 1 m(3)/d output are shown.
