Water of high quality for household conditions
New systems of asymmetric electrodialysis operating as self acidification and self-chlorination, provide stable treatment of drinking and surface waters in the range from some hundreds to three thousand mg/l TDS. Water produced after electrodialysis meets European standards. In most cases these systems operate without preliminary preparation or the system consists of the coarse treatment filter. The systems operate with minimum pressure in water supply pipelines (2-3 bar) and power consumption is minimum. To desalinate 1 m(3) of water it is necessary to spend one cent for power. The output of desalinated water can be more than 80%. Electrodialysis systems are applied to water treatment with boron, radioactive elements and hydrogen sulfide content. The cost of these household systems is lower than that of the RO and bottled water.
