In an effort to improve production-testing performance in deepwater west Africa, initiatives were undertaken to deliver quality well tests. To execute these continuous improvement initiatives, a dedicated test engineer was assigned to plan and oversee all west Africa well-testing operations. As a result, the average nonproductive time (NPT) per test was reduced from approximately 30 to 6%, and the overall test time was reduced by approximately 40%.
