Cleaning wire-wrapped screen liners with coiled-tubing jetting
A large-scale field study demonstrated the relative merits of four different approaches to clean dogged wire-wrap screens in gravel-packed producing oil wells. The four methods evaluated were acid jetting with coiled tubing (CT), bull-heading foam-diverted acid, bull-heading acid diverted with benzoic acid flakes, and squeezing acid between opposing cup packers. Examination of 168 well treatments provides a meaningful comparison.
