Highly active BEA catalyst for catalytic cracking of n-heptane
Homemade BEA(HTS) catalysts prepared by the hydrothermal synthesis method exhibited much higher activity than commercial BEA, USY and ZSM-5 in catalytic cracking of n-heptane. It is characteristic that BEA( HTS) has a much larger amount of Bronsted acid sites than other zeolites. This is related to the high activity.
