The Study of Manufacture of Selective Separation Membranes for Chiral Separation
Racemate is same chemical property and physical property, hard to separate by general method. In this study, separated racemate to use MIP(Molecularly Imprinted Polymeric) Membranes by simple process and high selectivity. The functional monomers were co-polymerised in the presence of a target/imprint molecules, which acts as a molecular template. Subsequent removal of the template molecules left behind functionalised cavities that are able to recognize the template molecules. Composite two types membrane imprinted with L-tryptophane(L-Trp) were developed using uv-irradiated polymerization. As a result, membranes covered with a thin film of imprinted polymer selective to L-Trp were obtained with different degrees of modification.
