The preparation of polymeric dental restorative composite (PDRC) was carried out using Si-O bridged fumed silica. Si-O bridged fumed silica was produced by burning the organosilane coated fumed silica. To improve the mechanical properties of PDRC, the surface of silica filler was treated with γ-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxy silane. Both diametral tensile and flexural strength of composite were measured and the effect of filler on the dental properties was investigated.
