Removal of Hydrogen Sulfide and Ammonia by Impregnated Activated Carbons
To increase adsorption capacity of hydrogen sulfide and ammonia, H2SO4, H3PO4 and KI were impregnated to activated carbons. KI impregnated activated carbon showed highest adsorption capacity for hydrogen sulfide, and H2SO4 impregnated activated carbon appears to be an appropriate choice for the adsorbent because concentration of ammonia was higher than that of hydrogen sulfide in most food waste composting process.
