Amino Resin Microcapsules Containing Polystyrene-coated Electrophoretic Titanium Oxide Particle Suspension

Microcapsules containing polystyrene-coated electrophoretic TiO2 particle Suspension as a core material were synthesized via an in-situ polymerization using urea/melamineformaldehyde (U/M-F) resin as a wall material. The particle suspended in an oil phase remains as stable droplets in an aqueous anionic encapsulating medium and then is enveloped by the U/M-F resin. The obtained microcapsules were found to ha e a diameter of 50 ~ 300 μm.
