Conductivity spectra and comparative scaling studies of polycrystalline PbSnF4
The conductivity spectra of polycrystalline PbSnF4 material have been investigated in the frequency range 42 Hz-5 MHz at different temperatures. The conductivity data have been analyzed using Almond-West formalism. The DC conductivity, the hopping frequency of the charge carriers, and their respective activation energies have been obtained from the analysis of the AC conductivity data. The estimated values of the charge carriers concentration are found to be temperature independent and in good agreement with the value determined from the structure. We have applied different scaling approaches of the conductivity and permittivity spectra in a comparative study. The applied scaling laws successfully collapse the conductivity and permittivity spectra into single curves, indicating temperature-independent relaxation mechanism. Moreover, The values of the permittivity strength Deltaepsilon have been calculated from the relation proposed by Sidebottom and are found to be in reasonable agreement with experimental values.
