Polyurethane insole was synthesized using urushiol extracted from lacquer. The reactivity, hardness, mechanical strength and antibiosis of the polyurethane insole were investigated. As the content of urushiol increased, the reactivity become faster. The hardness and mechanical properties of polyurethane insoles prepared with urushiol were smaller than pure polyurethane insole. However, in the case of polyurethane insole prepared with urushiol, as the urushiol content increased, the hardness, tensile strength and tear strength were on the increase. In the antibiosis test, the staphylococcus aureus and escherichia coil of polyurethane insole synthesized with urushiol were observed on the decrease of 99.9%.
