Antimicrobial activity and Deodorization of Photocatalystic Compound Obtained by Sol-Gel Method
Photocatalysis, which can be applied to get energy economically, to synthesis useful materials, and to remove environmentally harmful materials by transforming solar energy to chemical energy, has many advantages. In this study, photocatalystic compound was prepared by sol-gel technique for antimicrobial activity and deodorization. It showed that in case of deodorization, formaldehyde and ammonia were degraded by 98.3 and 97.1 %, respectively. In addition, this compound gives the highest efficiency for disinfection of E. coli and S. aureus.
