Active heating for flow-assurance control in deepwater flowlines
Flow-assurance challenges faced during the development of a multiwell field approximately 17 miles from its host facility were solved by use of pipe-in-pipe (PIP) active heating. Active-heating systems are a practical and cost-effective option to control hydrate formation and wax deposition during operation and during planned or emergency shutdowns.
