Reservoir models built with 40-seismic and well data
A general methodology was developed for building and history matching reservoir models on the basis of 4D-seismic, petrophysical, and production data. A procedure was developed for building confining surfaces of the reservoir zones by matching well markers and velocity maps. Object-based modeling tools were applied to construct 3D-facies models constrained by seismic and well data and consistent with the depositional environment. The procedure was developed to calibrate correlations on the basis of well-log and pressure data and was applied in several Gulf of Mexico (GOM) oil fields.
