It is anticipated that the infrastructures used to exploit the reservoirs of the Agip (U.K.) Ltd. operated Balmoral, Glamis, and Sterling fields on the U.K. Continental Shelf will be decommissioned by 2003. Various decommissioning options were assessed and measured to identify the best practicable environmental option (BPEO). Field facilities were divided into ten components. Decommissioning options for each component were measured in five categories then ranked for comparison.
