Electrical resistivity and Hall coefficient measurements of single-crystalline CaAl2Si2 revealed that CaAl2Si2 is a metal in which both electrons and holes contribute to the transport properties; its dominant carriers are holes at temperature below 150 K but electrons above that temperature.
