Reducing the mercury emissions from a sewage sludge incineration plant
Elemental mercury, Hg degrees, is not removed in conventional scrubber systems. If the Hg emission limit is to be met, expensive processes must be run. To avoid the high disposal cost of the entrained-bed product a process should be designed which reliably observes the emission limit and, at the same time, confines the problem and clearly reduces waste arisings from off gas purification.
