Assessment of the maximum possible superheating of fluids during leakage flow
The maximum leakage mass flow of initially boiling or Assessment of the slightly subcooled fluids along the path flow through a leak is modeled. Maximum Possible Superheating Using the calculated time-dependent radial temperature distribution in the liquid around the growing bubble, the authors determine the resulting vapor mass, the mean liquid temperature, and the liquid superheating, compared to the thermodynamic equilibrium. The effects of surface tension, mass vapor content depressurization rate, and initial distance between nuclei that can be activated are discussed.
