Various aspects of the application of mechanochemistry and mechanical activation in the study of pharmaceutical materials are presented including the use of mechanical activation for modification of the physical and chemical properties of drugs and solid state synthesis of the drugs by mechanochemical methods. It is necessary to take the mechanochemical factors into account during grinding and tabletting the drugs. (C) 2004 Kluwer Academic Publishers.
